Pierce County Sheriff's detectives in the Property Crimes Unit are hoping you can help them identify and locate three robbery suspects. They especially want to know where the suspects may be selling the stolen goods. One of them knocked a Rite Aid worker to the ground after she tried to stop a crew of crooks from stealing hundreds of dollars’ worth of vitamins and health supplies.
"This is a group of people that are going out in an organized manner and stealing lots of merchandise to sell for profit,” said Pierce County Det. Ed Troyer.
The suspects stole GNC products and some electronics from the Rite Aid store at 176th St. E. and Meridian Ave. E. in South Hill and more than $1,100 in GNC supplements, protein powders, and weight loss pills from the Rite Aid Store located at 15801 Pacific Ave. S. in Spanaway. Detectives think cracking this case could link them to many more similar crimes.
“These are people that are willing to meet force with force. They're physically fighting their way out of a store. They're physically fighting their way out of parking lots and they're blatantly taking things and not even trying to hide it, so we want to get them caught, because obviously they're going to keep doing it and we don't want anybody to get seriously hurt, or killed," said Troyer.
If you recognize the suspects or know anything about the crimes they are committing, call Crime Stoppers of Tacoma-Pierce County anonymously at 1 (800) 222-TIPS (8477). There is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
