Business Spotlight: Melinda’s Micros

Melinda's Micro's is a professional braiding and weaving service with more than 20 years of experience, and is conveniently located right in the center of University Place at 7406 27th St. W. The salon specializes in African-American hair, extensions and kids' hair. Owner Melinda Kumi provides the professional and friendly atmosphere.
The business has been around since December 2014, with an official opening in January 2015. Since then, not only has Melinda’s Micros taken off, but the other side of the store is now host to Eyram’s Fashions, a beauty supply boutique inspired by Kumi’s travels to Africa. The current hot item is an exfoliator for the body that uses shave butter to give beautiful skin.
